Egwu respects the intellectual property rights of artists, producers, songwriters, labels, publishers, and all copyright owners. We take infringement seriously and have processes in place to address it promptly.
Ownership of Content
Users retain ownership of content they upload. By uploading, users represent they own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents required to distribute and monetize such content.
Copyright Infringement
Egwu prohibits the upload or distribution of content that infringes upon:
- Copyrights (musical compositions, sound recordings, lyrics)
- Trademarks and brand identifiers
- Neighboring rights and performer rights
- Publicity rights and likeness rights
Reporting Infringement
Send a notice to help@egwu.africa containing:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- Description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content
- A good faith statement that you believe the use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- Your electronic or physical signature
Repeat Infringers
Accounts repeatedly found to be involved in copyright violations may be permanently suspended or terminated regardless of whether previous violations resulted in a warning.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, submit a counter-notification to help@egwu.africa. Egwu may restore content after investigation subject to applicable laws.
